Exploring the interrelationship and roles of employee–organization relationship outcomes between symmetrical internal communication and employee job engagement

Purpose This paper aims to investigate how employee–organization relationship (EOR) outcomes – types and qualities are interrelated employees' perceptions of (exchange communal EORs) (trust, satisfaction, commitment, control mutuality) play a role in their evaluations symmetrical internal communication (SIC) employee job engagement (EJE). Design/methodology/approach study conducted an online survey full-time employees ( N = 804) from major US industries. performed confirmatory factor analysis check the validity reliability measurement model using latent variables then structural equation modeling. Findings The findings demonstrate that both exchange EORs associated with each four EOR qualities. results also show only have significant perceived SIC about one quality indicator, satisfaction organization, has association EJE. Originality/value contributes management theory within context by examining interrelationship between employees. suggests practical importance developing not but enhance quality. Additionally, imply programs could help be engaged workplace when they satisfied organizations.
